Jobs Fair

We're inviting you to a jobs fair on 4th February at Macclesfield Town Hall. Meet candidates who've just finished working at Lapland UK and are looking for their next role in tourism, leisure, hospitality or customer service.

This event is being delivered by Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), National Careers Service and Cheshire East Council, in partnership with Marketing Cheshire, and will be an excellent opportunity for your business to connect with quality candidates.

Why Attend?

The main aim of this jobs fair is to provide onward employment opportunities for Lapland UK staff following the conclusion of their seasonal roles at Christmas.

These individuals have been trained and accredited in hospitality-focused customer service, with additional qualifications such as food hygiene, making them ideal candidates for visitor attractions, hospitality, and leisure businesses.

The event will also be open to other jobseekers from both the benefits system and the general public, giving you access to a diverse pool of talent for your customer service-based roles. There is no charge for your business to attend.

Enhanced Support: "Help to Apply" Service

To maximise recruitment success, DWP and National Careers Service will be providing their innovative "Help to Apply" service at the event. Research shows that 90% of jobseekers fail to complete online applications for entry-level roles, even when interested in the opportunity.

To tackle this, Help to Apply provides:

Individual 1-2-1 sessions during the event to support jobseekers in completing applications on the spot

Booking facilities for lengthier applications to be completed at job centres with advisor support

Guidance on best practice for securing interviews

Interview preparation and career development support

This service significantly increases the likelihood of converting interest into completed applications, saving you time and helping you fill vacancies more effectively.
