Yes. Holmes Chapel Partnership has created a new online self-guided Tour for Harry fans visiting the village, either in person or virtually.

Based on our award winning Guided Tours from 2024, this online version means you can visit whenever you like, as often as you like, from wherever you are, and you can take as long as you need along the way. The tour takes visitors to Mandeville's Bakery where Harry worked before appearing on The X Factor, the Twemlow Viaduct, and other key locations from his early years. Tours start at Holmes Chapel train station, where you can also leave a message which will be passed on to Harry's dad. All proceeds from the tours go into a fund for the village.

What is the Twemlow Viaduct?

The Twemlow Viaduct was built to carry the Manchester and Birmingham Railway across the marshy ground of the Dane valley, and its 23 brick arches soar 105 feet above the valley, spanning a total of 1,794 feet. It stands as a monument to the working man's resilience, determination, ingenuity and sheer hard graft, and today it carries the main Crewe to Manchester line. Long before Harry Styles made it world-famous by writing his name on it, it was one of the most impressive pieces of Victorian engineering in Cheshire, and it remains a genuinely spectacular sight from the riverbank below. The best way to reach it is on foot from the village along the River Dane path.

What is St Luke's Church in Holmes Chapel?

St Luke's is a Grade I listed historic parish church dating from around 1430, and the prominent landmark at the heart of the village. It is a relatively small, Perpendicular timber church with a Perpendicular sandstone west tower. Holmes Chapel, then known as Church Hulme, was granted permission to erect a chapel in 1245, and the original wooden building was extended in 1430 to create what is believed to be the longest timber-framed church in Cheshire. The church is floodlit at night and makes for a quietly beautiful stop on any walk through the village

What is the Lovell Quinta Arboretum and is it near Holmes Chapel?

It is, and it's one of Cheshire's most quietly wonderful places. The Lovell Quinta Arboretum is a 28-acre site in the village of Swettenham, created by Sir Bernard Lovell in the mid-1950s. Best known for the telescope at Jodrell Bank, Lovell was also deeply passionate about trees and shrubs, and collected examples from far and wide to build up a collection of around 2,500 different plants. The arboretum is open to the public every day except Christmas Day from 9am to sunset. Entry is via the outside of the Swettenham Arms, and parking is in the pub car park. A small entry fee applies, with the money going towards maintaining the site. It's a tranquil, beautiful place that pairs perfectly with a walk along the River Dane and lunch at the pub.

Is Jodrell Bank near Holmes Chapel?

Very much so. Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre is found just off the A535 between Chelford and Holmes Chapel, making it one of the most extraordinary neighbours any Cheshire village could wish for. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the iconic Lovell Telescope, the UK's largest radio telescope, Jodrell Bank seamlessly blends science with entertainment, offering immersive planetarium shows and award-winning interactive exhibitions that bring the wonders of space exploration to life. It's a full day out in its own right and pairs brilliantly with a visit to Holmes Chapel.
